Hangman is a simple, digital adaptation of the classic word-guessing game. The computer selects a secret word and shows you a series of blanks representing each letter. Your job is to figure out the word by guessing one letter at a time before you run out of chances.
Every time you guess a letter correctly, it fills in the corresponding blanks. If you guess incorrectly, a new piece of the stick figure is drawn. You must complete the word before the full figure is drawn to win the round. It is a timeless, straightforward challenge that tests your vocabulary and spelling skills.
Controls
- Mouse or Touch: Tap or click the letters on the screen to make your guess.
- Keyboard: You can also type letters directly to guess them.
Tips
- Start with the vowels: Always guess A, E, I, O, and U first. They appear in almost every word and will quickly help you figure out the structure.
- Try common consonants: Once you have the vowels, guess high-frequency letters like R, S, T, L, and N to fill in the gaps.
- Watch for patterns: Look out for common word endings like "-ING", "-ED", or "-TION" once a few letters are revealed.
