About Poor Eddie

Poor Eddie is a physics puzzle game from developer GameTornado where the goal is simple to state and hard to pull off: get Eddie from the start of a level to the exit without him meeting a comically bad end along the way. Each level is a small hand-built contraption of cannons, boots, and boxing gloves that launch, kick, or punch Eddie across gaps, over spikes, and into the next obstacle.

Nothing here runs on a timer. You're meant to look at the layout, work out the order the launchers need to fire in, and only then commit to a try. The 2D cartoon art keeps failures light rather than punishing — Eddie's ragdoll flops and bounces are part of the joke, and a bad attempt just means a quick restart to try the sequence again.

Controls

Everything is handled with the mouse (or a tap on touchscreens): click or tap the cannons, boots, and objects in the level to trigger them and send Eddie flying.

Tips

  • Scan the whole level before touching anything — most puzzles depend on triggering objects in a specific order, not fast reflexes.
  • If Eddie stalls out or lands somewhere useless, restart immediately rather than trying to correct mid-attempt; runs are short enough that a clean retry is faster.
  • Watch how each launcher type behaves the first time you use it — cannons, boots, and gloves each send Eddie off with a different arc and force.

It's a good fit for short, puzzle-driven sessions rather than fast action — a handful of levels at a time rather than one long sitting.
