Wood Blocks 3D is a grid-based puzzle game where you place wooden tetromino-style shapes onto a board. Unlike traditional falling-block games, there is no gravity and no time limit. You are given three shapes at a time and must place them anywhere they fit. Whenever you complete a full row or column, the blocks clear away, giving you more space and adding to your score.
The core challenge is space management. Because you cannot rotate the pieces, you have to carefully visualize how each block will affect your future moves. Leaving awkward single-square holes or blocking yourself from placing larger pieces like the 3x3 square will quickly end your run. It is a slow, methodical game that rewards careful planning over quick reactions.
Controls
- Mouse or Touch: Click and drag a shape from the bottom of the screen onto the grid. Release to place it.
Tips
- Clear multiple lines: Placing a piece that clears two or three lines at once yields a much higher score than clearing them individually.
- Save space for the big square: The 3x3 square piece is the most common run-ender. Always try to keep a 3x3 open space somewhere on your board just in case.
- Work from the corners: Building your blocks out from the corners helps keep the center open, giving you more flexibility for awkwardly shaped pieces.
With no downloads required, this puzzle game plays directly in your web browser and is perfect for short, relaxing breaks.
