About Arrower

Arrower is a minimalist, tile-based puzzle game that challenges your logic and spatial planning. The core objective is simple: navigate a specific yellow arrow block across a grid-based board to reach a matching yellow target portal. However, you cannot directly drag the block; instead, you slide blocks in the direction their arrows point, sending them gliding across the board until they hit an obstacle or another block.

Each puzzle requires you to map out a sequence of moves, using blocks as physical stoppers or clearing obstacles out of the way. As you progress, the stages introduce direction-altering tiles that redirect sliding blocks, demanding careful foresight. With no timers or lives to worry about, the game offers a relaxed, clean environment to test your problem-solving skills at your own pace.

Controls

  • Left Click / Tap: Click on a block to slide it in the direction its arrow is pointing.

Tips

  • Use blocks as stoppers: Arrow blocks only stop sliding when they hit a wall or another block. You can position blocks in the path of the yellow arrow block to stop it exactly where you need it to turn.
  • Trace the path backward: If you are stuck on a complex level, look at the yellow target exit and figure out which tile the yellow block must slide from to reach it. Working backward makes identifying key blocker positions much easier.
  • Watch the direction changers: Redirection tiles change the movement direction of any block that passes over them. Calculate how these tiles will affect not just the yellow block, but blocks you might need to move across the board.

This game is ideal for players who enjoy clean, minimalist logic puzzles like sliding-block games and Sokoban. It provides a quick mental workout that is easy to pick up but offers satisfying complexity in its later levels.
