Crown Guard is a tower defense game where the goal isn't just to build turrets and wait — you draw the roads your own soldiers march down. Each level opens with a patch of empty tiles around a castle under siege: place towers on the open ground to shoot down incoming waves, then drag a path from your barracks toward the enemy so your troops can counterattack along the route you choose.
That two-sided setup is what separates a session here from a standard defense game. Gold from mines funds new towers and upgrades, enemies come in waves that escalate as a level runs, and losing the castle ends the attempt — so the real skill is splitting attention between shoring up static defenses and routing an offense that can reach the enemy before your side gets overrun.
Controls
Everything is mouse or touch based. Tap an empty tile to open the build menu and place a tower, tap an existing tower to upgrade or sell it, and click-drag from your base to draw the path your soldiers will follow to attack.
Tips
- Don't sink every early tile into towers — leave room to draw a path once you've scouted where enemies actually spawn.
- Upgrade a couple of towers near choke points rather than spreading gold thin across many weak ones.
- Keep at least one gold mine defended; losing your income stalls upgrades for the rest of the wave.
It's a good fit for anyone who likes tower defense but wants an active offensive layer instead of just placing turrets and watching.
