Galactic Empire is an idle merge game about building a space mining and combat fleet from nothing. You start by clicking to earn credits, then spend them on automated infrastructure that keeps generating income even while you're away. From there the loop shifts to merging: combine two identical mining or fighter ships and they fuse into a stronger one, freeing up space in your fleet and pushing your income curve higher.
The tension in a session is what to do with a full fleet. Keep merging upward for bigger multipliers, or sell off ships you've outgrown to cash in and reinvest in upgrades. Fighter ships matter beyond looks — they protect your miners while they work asteroid fields, so a fleet that's all economy and no defense will bleed credits to losses. Progress is gradual and stat-driven rather than level-based, which suits players who like watching numbers compound more than they like reflex challenges.
Controls
Everything is mouse-driven: click to earn credits and click on upgrades, ships, and merge slots to manage your fleet. It also works with touch on phone and tablet.
Tips
- Don't dump every credit into new low-tier ships — merging what you already own is usually the faster way to grow your fleet's power.
- Keep fighter ships in the mix even when miners feel more profitable; unprotected mining fleets lose credits to damage.
- Sell ships you've already merged past instead of hoarding them — the multiplier from selling often outpaces holding onto low-tier stock.
It's a good fit for players who like idle and incremental games and want a session they can dip into for a few minutes or leave running in the background.
