Hammer 2: Reloaded drops you into a chaotic, crime-ridden city as a lone vigilante with no shortage of firepower. Sessions play fast and loud: gun down waves of criminals, hijack whatever is parked nearby, and push through a mission before the streets calm down.
Progress runs through 30 missions of escalating chaos. Clearing enemies and completing objectives earns cash, which you spend between missions on upgrades — a jetpack for getting above the fight, unlimited grenades for clearing groups, and a god-mode power-up for the missions that turn into a bullet storm. Heavy tanks are hijackable mid-mission for when a wave gets too thick to fight on foot.
Controls
- WASD or Arrow Keys — move
- Mouse — aim and shoot
- Number keys — switch weapons
- E — enter or exit a vehicle
Tips
- Hijack a tank (E) as soon as a mission's enemy waves get heavy — its armor buys you room to fight back that you won't get on foot.
- Bank your early mission cash toward the jetpack before splurging on god mode — reaching rooftops and open sightlines makes the ground-level missions easier on their own.
- If your ride gets wrecked mid-mission, use the city's vehicle generator to spawn a fresh car instead of finishing the mission on foot.
It suits players after short, loud, arcade-style shooting sessions rather than a tactical cover shooter — think GTA-style chaos condensed into mission-sized bursts.
