Hole.io turns a bustling city map into a frantic, all-you-can-eat buffet where you play as a ravenous black hole. Starting out barely large enough to swallow a mailbox, your goal is to move across the sidewalks and streets, eating every small object in your path. As you consume streetlights, pedestrians, and benches, your void expands. The satisfying progression ramps up quickly—within a minute, you will be tearing through parking lots to swallow cars, and eventually tearing down entire office buildings.

Every round is a strictly timed two-minute sprint against players sharing the same map. It is not just about eating the environment; it is a cutthroat race for mass. If a rival black hole is larger than you, they can consume you instantly, forcing a time-wasting respawn. The game thrives on this chaotic balance of aggressively hunting smaller objects while desperately avoiding the massive voids roaming the downtown area.

Controls

Guiding your black hole is incredibly simple and responsive across different devices.

• Mouse: Hover and drag your cursor to direct movement.
• Keyboard: Use the WASD or Arrow keys to steer.
• Mobile/Tablet: Drag your finger on the screen to move.

Tips

• Memorize park locations: At the very start of a match, urban streets are too sparse. Bee-line for a park or a parking lot where rows of fences, trees, and cars are packed tightly together for rapid early growth.
• Eat players for a huge boost: Consuming a rival grants significantly more mass than eating buildings. Once you have a size advantage, aggressively cut off smaller players.
• Corner the buildings: When you are almost big enough to eat a large structure, sliding under one of its corners can often tip it over and into your hole faster than trying to center yourself directly underneath it.
