Keep Out! drops you into a dungeon that's different every time you start a run. It's a first-person 3D dungeon crawler built around tile-by-tile exploration: turn a corner, and you might find a chest, a locked door, or a room full of monsters between you and the exit. There's no story to follow and no checkpoints to memorize, just a fresh layout and a fresh fight every time you play.
Combat is close to real-time even though movement is grid-based. You start with only a sword, then pick up a bow for ranged shots, bombs for groups of enemies, and a wand that stuns whatever you hit with it. Coins dropped by monsters can be spent at a shop that appears once you clear the first level, so later runs open with a bit more firepower than the last. Health doesn't come back on its own, and dying sends you back to the start of the level with a newly generated map rather than the one you just learned.
Controls
- W/A/S/D or arrow keys — move and strafe
- Q / E — turn left / turn right
- Space — sword
- F — bow
- X — bombs
- C — wand
- R — health potion
- Tab — map
- Esc — pause menu
Tips
- Save your arrows for enemies that are dangerous to approach in melee — the sword has no ammo limit, so lean on it for everything else.
- Bombs hurt you too if you're standing too close when they go off; throw them and back away before they detonate.
- Check the map (Tab) before committing to a direction in a big room — it's faster than backtracking through monsters you've already cleared.
Good fit for a player who wants short, replayable dungeon runs rather than a long campaign — each attempt is a new layout, so there's always a reason to go back in after a bad death.
