Mahjong Firefly is a timed tile-matching puzzle game: tiles are scattered across the board in pairs, and your job is to find two identical tiles that can be linked by a path with no more than two turns, then clear them before the clock runs out.
Each level packs the board a little tighter and adds new tile designs to keep track of, and clearing a full board unlocks special power tiles that make the harder boards easier to read. The pressure comes less from reflexes and more from scanning the board quickly and spotting the pair you need before time runs low.
Controls
Match and remove tiles with the left mouse button (or a tap on touchscreens).
Tips
- Clear the edges of the board first — tiles buried in the middle often become linkable once the tiles around them are gone.
- Scan for tiles that already have a clear path before hunting for harder matches; easy pairs disappear fast as the timer ticks down.
- Use power tiles as soon as they're available rather than saving them — a cleared board carries no bonus for unused tiles.
It's a good fit for a quick puzzle break: a few minutes of focused matching with no story or setup to sit through.
