Mahjong (Mahjong Deluxe 2) is classic mahjong solitaire: a board of tiles stacked in layers, each carved with a Chinese character, symbol, letter or number. The goal is to clear the whole board by matching identical pairs.

The catch is that you can only pick a tile that's "open" — free on at least one side with nothing stacked on top of it. Early matches are easy, but as the board thins out you have to plan a few moves ahead so you don't bury a tile you'll need later. There's no timer, so a round is as quick or as slow as you want it to be.

Controls

Click or tap a tile to select it, then click or tap its matching pair to clear both. Works the same with a mouse on desktop or touch on mobile.

Tips

• Clear tiles from the top layers first — they're what's blocking access to everything underneath.
• Before taking an easy match, check whether it frees up a tile you'll need for a harder pair later in the board.
• If you get stuck with no open matches left, look for a shuffle or hint option rather than restarting the whole layout.

Good fit for a slow, no-pressure puzzle session — there's no clock and no penalty for taking your time to read the board.
