BitLife is a text-based life simulator where every year of your character's life is shaped by a series of multiple-choice decisions. Starting from birth, you navigate through childhood, school, and adulthood, balancing four core stats: Happiness, Health, Smarts, and Looks. Every choice, from how you react to a bully to what you study in university, branches your life path toward massive success, ordinary mediocrity, or complete disaster.
A session plays out year by year with a tap of the "Age" button. You might choose to study hard, land a medical degree, and live a peaceful life as a wealthy surgeon, or you might drop out, join a crime syndicate, and spend your days trying to escape from prison. The game's dark humor and randomized events mean that no two lives ever play out exactly the same, creating a highly replayable sandbox of life choices.
Tips
- Start smart: If your character is born with low Smarts, visit the library and read books every year during childhood to raise the stat before university.
- Mind your health: Go to the gym, meditate, and visit the doctor regularly. Ignoring your Health stat can lead to sudden, early death.
- The famous path: To become a famous actor or musician, you need exceptionally high Looks. Getting plastic surgery can help, but it comes with the risk of being botched.
It's a fast-paced, unpredictable simulator that perfectly balances casual menu-tapping with surprisingly deep consequences for every action.
