Pocket Zoo is an idle merge game built around one simple loop: tap floating bubbles to pull out animals, then click on matching pairs to merge them into a bigger, rarer version. Coins come from clicking your animals directly, and once a species is out and working, it keeps generating income on its own even while you're doing something else on the page.
The zoo grows outward rather than just upward — new islands open up as you collect coins, each one holding species you haven't found yet. Chasing down every animal on every island, and merging your way up to the largest form of each one, is what carries a session from a five-minute check-in to a much longer stretch of tapping and reinvesting.
Controls
- Click or tap a bubble — releases a new animal
- Click an animal — earns coins from it
- Click and hold an animal — pick it up and drag it, including onto a matching animal to merge them
Tips
- Merge duplicates as soon as you spot a matching pair — a merged animal earns more per click and per second than two small ones sitting idle
- Coins still trickle in while you're away, so it's worth checking back rather than trying to tap constantly
- Spread your clicks across the whole zoo instead of one animal — every income source adds up toward opening the next island
It's built for short, repeated sessions — a couple of minutes to merge and reinvest, then check back later once more coins have piled up. Playable on both desktop and mobile.
