Rustyard Game

Rustyard is a charming puzzle-platformer developed by Nitrome that puts you in control of the environment rather than the character. In this industrial scrap heap, your task is to guide a small, autonomous robot to a generator at the end of each stage so it can recharge. However, the robot moves forward automatically and changes direction only when it collides with a wall or obstacle, requiring you to think ahead and prepare its path in real time.

To keep the robot safe from fatal falls, electrical hazards, and crushing hazards, you must interact with various machineries in the scrapyard. Solving each stage requires a mix of spatial reasoning and quick timing, as you lift platforms, slide crates, flip switch tracks, and toggle gates just before the robot walks into danger. As the levels progress, the puzzles increase in complexity, introducing multiple robots and intricate, interconnected contraptions.
