Sprunki is a drag-and-drop music creation sandbox heavily inspired by the mechanics of Incredibox. You start with a lineup of silent characters and a panel of sound icons at the bottom of the screen. By dragging an icon onto a character, you give them a specific vocal or instrumental loop to perform. The goal is simply to experiment and layer different sounds to build a catchy, perfectly synchronized musical track.
The game divides its sounds into clear categories like beats, melodies, sound effects, and vocals. As you build your mix, the atmosphere can quickly shift from an upbeat, quirky rhythm to something entirely different. Notably, Sprunki features a hidden horror phase where the bright aesthetic flips into a darker, more unsettling tone, offering a fresh soundscape to explore.
Controls
Everything is controlled with the mouse or touchscreen. Click and drag a sound icon from the bottom menu onto any character on the stage to make them sing or play an instrument. You can click on a singing character to mute them, or double-click to remove their sound completely.
Tips
- Build your track slowly by starting with a strong beat and a bassline before adding complex melodies or vocals.
- Use the mute function to isolate specific sounds and see how they change the feel of your mix.
- Try grouping similar types of sounds together to discover hidden animated bonuses.
- Don't be afraid to pull all the sounds and start from scratch if the mix gets too cluttered.
