About Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2 is Imangi Studios' endless runner: your character sprints automatically through crumbling temple ruins, and your only job is reacting to what's in front of you. Turns, gaps, low branches and swinging blades come faster the longer a run lasts, so it plays as a chain of split-second calls rather than a fixed course.

Coins picked up mid-run buy three upgrades: a Coin Magnet that pulls in nearby coins, a Shield that absorbs one hit, and a Boost that speeds you up and lets you smash through obstacles instead of dodging them. A run ends the moment you take a hit with no shield up, so distance and coin totals both reward the same mix of speed and self-control.

Controls

  • Up arrow – jump
  • Down arrow – slide
  • Left / Right arrow – turn or change lanes

On touch devices, swipe in the same direction instead of pressing a key.

Tips

  • Commit to a turn as soon as you see the fork, not once you're on top of it – the reaction window is short.
  • Save Boost for stretches with few turns; triggering it right before a hard turn is how most runs end.
  • A Shield only blocks one hit, so treat it as a safety net rather than a reason to stop reacting.

It suits quick, replayable sessions – there's no level select or ending, just a longer run than your last one.
