This Is the Only Level is a puzzle-platformer with exactly one level — a small stage with a blue elephant, a few platforms, and an exit. You beat it in seconds the first time. Then you play it again. And again, thirty times over, and every single replay changes the rules of how you interact with the same layout without changing the layout itself.
One pass the controls are reversed, so left is right and right is left. Another pass gravity is barely there and the elephant drifts. Sometimes it won't stop bouncing, sometimes you can only drag it with the mouse, and sometimes the whole screen goes dark and you have to remember the path from the attempt before. The level name usually hints at the twist, but figuring out exactly what changed — and how to still reach the exit — is the actual puzzle each time.
Controls
Arrow keys move and jump under normal rules, but that mapping is the joke: nearly every level deliberately breaks, reverses, or replaces it, sometimes swapping to mouse-drag movement instead.
Tips
- Read the level name before you move — it's usually a hint at what's been changed this time.
- If a level goes dark or the layout disappears, rely on the path you already memorized from the previous, visible attempt.
- When movement feels broken, try the opposite of your instinct first — reversed controls are one of the most common twists.
