Block the Pig is a casual turn-based puzzle game where you are pitted against a surprisingly clever animal trying to escape a hexagonal grid. Your job is to fence the pig in before it can reach the edge of the board, but for every block you place, the pig gets to move one space closer to freedom.
Each level starts with a few pre-placed stone blocks. The early stages give you a generous head start, but the game quickly ramps up, giving you fewer starting blocks and positioning the pig dangerously close to the exits. It requires spatial reasoning and the ability to think several moves ahead to successfully build a pen before the pig slips away.
Controls
- Mouse or Touch: Click or tap an empty hexagonal space to place a stone block. The pig will immediately take its turn.
Tips for Trapping the Pig
- Look for the shortest path: The pig will always take the most direct route to the nearest edge. Use this predictability to build walls where you know it wants to go.
- Start wide: Don't try to trap the pig in a tiny circle right away. It's often better to build a wider perimeter using the existing blocks and then tighten the net as the pig moves.
- Block the corners: The corners of the grid offer the pig multiple escape vectors at once. Securing these zones early can drastically reduce its options.
