Bunny Hop brings the legendary first-person movement mechanic to your browser, stripping away everything but pure speed and precision. Your only goal is to navigate floating obstacle courses by stringing together perfect jumps to build extreme momentum. Miss a platform or mistime a landing, and you lose all your velocity—or worse, fall into the void and have to restart the run.
The core gameplay is entirely focused on "air-strafing," a physics quirk turned into a legitimate art form. Simply holding forward won't get you far. To achieve true speed, you have to synchronize your keyboard movements with precise mouse swings while airborne. It takes patience to learn, but once the rhythm clicks, chaining together massive jumps feels incredibly rewarding.
Controls
Use your keyboard and mouse together to maintain your speed:
- Spacebar: Jump. Time it right as you hit the ground to preserve your momentum.
- A and D Keys: Strafe left and right while in the air.
- Mouse: Move your mouse in the same direction you are strafing to accelerate.
Tips
- Release the forward key: The most important rule of air-strafing is to never hold 'W' while in the air. It restricts your movement and stops you from gaining speed.
- Synchronize your inputs: Your keyboard and mouse must work together. If you press 'A' to strafe left, smoothly pan your mouse to the left at the same time.
- Focus on timing over speed: Don't panic if you are moving too fast. Focus on hitting the spacebar at the exact moment you touch the platform to keep your chain alive.
