About Dunkers

Dunkers is a local two-player basketball game built on ragdoll physics: your character's arms and legs flop and swing with every move, so even a routine layup can turn into a pratfall. There is no aiming reticle or shot meter — you grab the ball, jump, and shove your body toward the hoop while your opponent tries to strip it away or block the rim. Because the physics are loose, no two dunks look the same, and the best players learn to work with the wobble instead of fighting it.

A round is short: whoever scores more dunks before time runs out wins. On top of the head-to-head match, Dunkers has a single-player Career mode that runs you through a roster of oddball characters — Pinko, Froggo, Timmy and Nerdo among them — as you climb the ranks. It's built by Colin Lane, the Stockholm-based one-person studio behind the wrestling game Wrassling and the later sequel Dunkers 2.

Controls

  • Player 1: F to jump, G to grab the ball or dunk.
  • Player 2: H to jump, J to grab the ball or dunk.
  • Touch devices: on-screen jump and grab buttons appear automatically.

Tips

  • Don't hold jump down waiting for the perfect moment — the ragdoll drifts while airborne, so jump late and adjust on the way up rather than committing early.
  • Grabbing is as important as jumping. A player without the ball can't score, so contest every rebound instead of just chasing the hoop.
  • Use your body to bump your opponent off balance near the rim; a well-timed shove can knock a contested dunk out of their hands.
  • Matches are short, so a slow start is recoverable — stay aggressive on defense rather than playing it safe once you're behind.

It's a good pick for a quick couch match against a friend on the same keyboard, or a few rounds of Career mode solo when you want something silly and fast rather than a serious sports sim.
