Eugene's Life Game

Eugene's Life is a physics-based puzzle platformer set in a colorful, handmade world crafted entirely from clay. You control Eugene, a squishy, jelly-like plasticine blob who must navigate a series of challenging environments to reach the flag at the end of each level. Lacking weapons or the ability to run, Eugene relies entirely on his elasticity and unique shape-shifting properties to survive.

The core of the game lies in manipulating Eugene's physical properties on the fly. By inflating his body, Eugene becomes lighter and floats, allowing him to leap across wide chasms and ascend to high ledges. Conversely, deflating or squeezing his body increases his density, allowing him to descend rapidly, build momentum on ramps, and slip through tight, narrow openings. Each level is a physical playground filled with hazards and moving machinery that test your reflexes and problem-solving skills.

Controls

• Move Left / Right: Use the A and D keys, or the Left and Right Arrow keys.
• Inflate (Float): Press the W key or the Up Arrow key to swell in size and float upward.
• Squeeze (Descend): Press the S key or the Down Arrow key to compress Eugene's body and sink quickly.

Tips

• Use Momentum: Combine squeezing with inflating to launch Eugene off ramps. Squeezing down a slope builds speed, and inflating at the peak of a ramp will send you flying much further.
• Weight and Levers: Use your inflated or squeezed state to interact with the environment. Certain buttons, levers, and pressure plates respond differently depending on Eugene's density and size.
• Observe Hazards: Study the movements of dangerous obstacles like rotating gears, spikes, and giant mallets before attempting to navigate past them. Timing is crucial for survival.
