Simon just wanted to build a sandcastle, but he found gold and diamonds instead. Now everyone from greedy neighbors to local pirates wants a piece of the loot. In Raft Wars, you and your brother take to the water in a small inflatable dinghy, armed only with a tennis ball launcher, to fend them off in turn-based artillery battles.
The core loop is pure trial and error physics. You drag your mouse to set the angle and power of your shot, trying to arc your projectile perfectly to bonk the enemy before they sink you. Between rounds, the coins you earn from surviving can be spent on much-needed upgrades—swapping standard tennis balls for grenades, rockets, or reinforcing your raft to take an extra hit.
Controls
- Mouse: Click and drag anywhere on the screen to aim and set your shot's power. Release to fire.
Tips
- Use the water: Standard tennis balls will skip off the water if they land at a shallow angle. This is perfect for sneaking shots under low-hanging obstacles or hitting enemies that are out of direct line of sight.
- Splash damage is king: Aiming perfectly takes time. Upgrading to grenades early gives you a margin of error, since the explosion will damage enemies even if you miss by a few pixels.
- Knock them in: You don't always have to deplete an enemy's health bar. If you hit them hard enough to knock them off their platform and into the water, they're instantly defeated.
