Square Stacker Game

Square Stacker is a clever color-matching puzzle game that challenges your spatial reasoning and foresight. Played on a simple grid, it blends the familiar rules of tic-tac-toe with deep stacking mechanics. Your objective is to place squares of different sizes and colors to clear space and accumulate the highest score possible.

Each turn, you are provided with a selection of squares from a queue. Because squares come in small, medium, and large sizes, you can nest them inside one another. Managing this multi-layered grid is the key to longevity, as the game ends the moment you can no longer fit any incoming shapes onto the board.

How to Play

• Place Squares: Drag colored squares from the sidebar queue and drop them onto the grid.
• Clear Lines: Arrange three squares of the same color in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line to clear them. The size of the squares in the line does not matter.
• Build Full Stacks: Place a small, medium, and large square of the identical color in the same grid cell. This forms a full stack and immediately clears that space.
• Watch the Space: The game ends when the grid is full and you run out of moves. Keep slots open for incoming shapes.

Controls

• Desktop: Use your mouse to drag and drop squares from the queue onto the grid.
• Mobile: Tap and drag squares with your finger on touch screens.

Tips for Success

• Preview Your Queue: Look ahead at the upcoming squares in the sidebar. Planning your next two or three moves prevents the board from filling up prematurely.
• Combine Matching Methods: Try to set up situations where a single placement clears a line and completes a stack simultaneously for extra points.
• Manage the Center Slot: The center cell of the grid has the most line connections. Save it for flexible placements or to clear multiple intersecting lines at once.
