About Wizard Mike

Wizard Mike puts you in the boots of a novice sorcerer working through a swamp full of goblins, trolls and golems, one thrown spell at a time. It's not a twitch shooter — each level is really a small physics puzzle, arranging a single well-aimed throw so your spell bounces off a wall, rolls down a plank or sets off a chain of explosive crates to clear every enemy on screen.

You get one spell in hand at a time, and the level score rewards restraint: the fewer casts it takes to clear the stage, the more gold you walk away with. That gold buys new hats, capes and staves for Mike between levels, which is purely cosmetic but gives you a reason to replay early stages cleanly instead of just brute-forcing through with wasted throws.

Controls

Mouse only. Aim with the cursor and click to throw your spell at the enemies and objects in the level.

Tips

  • Look at what's placed around the enemies before throwing — explosive crates and loose logs usually matter more than hitting an enemy directly.
  • A wall or slope can redirect your spell into an enemy you can't hit in a straight line, so check the angles before committing to a throw.
  • Since fewer casts means a better score, it's worth resetting a level if your first throw misses badly rather than cleaning up with extra spells.

It's a good fit for short sessions — each level is a self-contained puzzle you can solve in well under a minute once you spot the trick.

Wizard Mike FAQ

How do you play Wizard Mike?
Aim with your mouse and click to throw a spell at the enemies in the level. You get a limited number of throws, and using crates, logs or walls to chain hits earns a better score.
Does Wizard Mike work on mobile?
The controls are a simple point-and-click aim-and-throw, which maps naturally to tap-and-drag on a touchscreen, though the game is best played with a mouse in the browser.
What do you spend gold on in Wizard Mike?
Gold earned from clearing levels efficiently buys cosmetic items for Mike, like hats, capes and staves. It doesn't affect how spells work in a level.
