Battleship takes the classic naval guessing game and adds a light RPG layer on top. You and an opposing fleet each place your ships on a grid, then take turns firing blind at each 's board — three guesses per turn — trying to sink every enemy ship before yours goes down first.
Landing a hit narrows down a ship's location, so early guesses are as much about deduction as luck. Winning battles earns XP and levels you up, which unlocks weapons that hit a wider area than your starting shots — handy once you've thinned out the easy targets and are hunting the last ship or two.
Controls
- Left mouse button: place your ships, then click a grid square to fire
Tips
- Spread your ships out instead of bunching them together — a tight cluster is much easier for an opponent to sweep.
- Once you land a hit, keep firing at the squares directly around it rather than jumping elsewhere on the board.
- Save your wider-area weapons for later in a match, when there are fewer, more spread-out ships left to find.
A good fit for anyone who likes the classic Battleship guessing game, with just enough added progression to keep repeat matches from feeling identical.
