About Bowman

Bowman is a turn-based archery duel: you and an opponent take turns firing arrows at each across a fixed distance, and the round ends when someone lands a fatal shot. There's no running or dodging — the whole game comes down to reading the arc of your shot, correcting for how it landed last time, and firing again before you take one yourself.

Play against the computer for quick rounds, or pass the mouse to a friend for local, take-turns multiplayer on the same screen. A practice mode is also available if you just want to dial in your aim against a stationary target before facing a real opponent.

Controls

  • Hold the left mouse button to prepare your shot
  • Move the mouse to set the angle and power of the shot
  • Release the left mouse button to fire

Tips

  • Treat your first shot as a ranging shot — note how far off it landed, then adjust the angle and power by roughly that amount rather than guessing fresh each time.
  • A slightly lower, flatter arc is easier to correct on the next shot than a high lob, since small aiming errors get magnified less over a shorter flight.
  • Use practice mode first if you're new — it removes the pressure of taking a hit while you get a feel for how mouse movement maps to arc and distance.

Good for a fast one-on-one with a friend on the same keyboard, or a few quick rounds against the computer when you've got a couple of minutes to spare.
