Critters Quest starts with one choice: a cat or a dog as your first companion. From there you set off across a string of floating island stages — meadow, beach, forest — running, collecting coins, and meeting the wild creatures that live on each one.
Most of what you meet isn't friendly at first. Battling a wild creature and coming out ahead adds it to your squad, so the pack trailing behind your character keeps growing the longer you explore. Each win also levels your animals up, so early zones get easier to clear as your squad fills out and later ones start to demand it.
Controls
- Move: WASD or the arrow keys (on-screen joystick on touch devices)
- Interact / choose: click (or tap)
Tips
- Don't rush past a new zone — meadow, beach, and forest each introduce their own wild creatures, and the only way to add them to your squad is to beat them there.
- A bigger squad isn't just for show: each animal you've caught levels up alongside you, so catching more early makes the later islands manageable.
It's a good fit for players who like creature-collector games but want the catching built into short, active platforming runs instead of menus and cooldown timers.
