Cube Miner Escape from Prison drops you into a locked-up cell with nothing but a pickaxe and a wall of blocky dirt between you and the surface. You dig down through layered soil and stone, uncovering pockets of gold, gems, and valuables as you go, and every bit of it can be sold to the traders scattered through the tunnels for cash to spend on better gear.
A session is built around that dig-sell-upgrade loop: chip through soil to find something worth selling, trade it for a stronger pick or a stash of dynamite, then use that dynamite to blast through blocked passages that a bare pickaxe can't touch. Push deep enough and you'll find one of two different routes out of the prison, each with its own ending.
Controls
- WASD or the arrow keys to move
- Left-click to mine, right-click to place blocks
- E to open your inventory
On touchscreens, a left joystick handles movement and a right joystick mines, with taps on open ground placing blocks.
Tips
- Sell resources to traders as soon as you have a decent stack rather than hoarding them — a faster pick pays for itself by letting you reach deeper, more valuable layers sooner.
- Save dynamite for passages that look deliberately blocked off instead of using it on ordinary dirt; it's the fastest way to open a hidden route.
- Since there are two separate escape endings, it's worth digging out more than one route before you commit to the one you finish on.
It's a good fit for anyone who likes the slow-burn payoff of dig-and-collect games and wants a prison-break theme wrapped around that loop, in short sessions of a few minutes at a time.
