Cursed Treasure flips tower defense's usual premise: you're the villain. Waves of "good" heroes march in to steal the gems piled at the heart of your lair, and it's your job as the Overlord to wipe them out with your own orcs, undead and demons before they escape with the loot.
Each level is a short defense of one gem pile. You spend mana earned from kills to build towers along the paths heroes take, and a level is only lost once enough enemies actually make it off the map with a gem — killing a hero mid-escape gets the gem back. Between levels you unlock tower upgrades and spells, so later stages throw faster or tougher heroes at you than the ones you started against.
Controls
Cursed Treasure runs entirely on the mouse: click to place a tower or cast a spell, and hold Shift to place several towers or cast several spells back to back instead of one at a time.
Tips
- Mix your three tower types — Orc Dens hit hard up close, while Undead Crypts and Demon Temples cover ranged and magic damage — instead of walling a path with just one kind.
- Save spells like Meteor and Frenzy for a hero who's already carrying a gem toward the exit; used early, they're wasted on enemies that weren't going to steal anything anyway.
- Hold Shift when you're behind on a wave — placing towers one click at a time costs seconds you don't have once heroes are already past your front line.
- Spend unlocked skills on whichever tower type you're actually leaning on, not evenly across all three.
It's a good fit if you like tower defense but want a twist on the formula — you're racing to punish escaping enemies rather than just building a wall they can't cross, and the fifteen levels are short enough to finish in a sitting.
