Ducklings.io is a charming multiplayer web game where you take control of a caring parent duck swimming around a peaceful but busy pond. Your mission is simple: rescue lost yellow ducklings floating in the water and lead them safely back to your home nest. The more ducklings you save, the more you can upgrade your nest from a simple pile of twigs into a grand duck castle.

But the pond is not as tranquil as it looks. You are sharing the water with parent ducks who are eager to steal your trailing flock to claim the glory for themselves. To protect your ducklings, you must maneuver carefully and stay clear of rival birds. Keep a sharp eye out for fast-moving motorboats that speed across the lake—getting hit by one will immediately end your run.

Controls

Steering your duck is straightforward and responsive on all devices:

• On Desktop: Move your mouse cursor around the screen. Your duck will continuously swim towards the cursor's position.
• On Mobile: Touch and drag anywhere on the screen to guide your duck in that direction.

Gameplay Tips

• Stay Close to Home: In the beginning, rescue ducklings near your nest. Returning them frequently prevents players from having enough time to steal them from your trail.
• Steal from Others: If you see a rival duck with a long trail of ducklings, swim close to the trail to intercept and claim those ducklings as your own. Just be careful they do not do the same to you!
• Avoid the Center of the Pond: Motorboats cross the pond frequently, especially through the deeper center areas. Stick to the shallower edges when you have a large flock to reduce the risk of being run over.
• Upgrade Your Nest: Keep saving ducklings to unlock new levels and cosmetics, including unique hats for your duck and visual upgrades for your home base.
