Fat Cat Game

Fat Cat is a classic, vertically-scrolling shoot-'em-up game created by Nitrome. In this unique puzzle-shooter, players must guide two highly distinct characters through a series of dangerous, obstacle-ridden environments. You command both a nimble, invincible Owl and a slow, heavily-armed Cat, working in tandem to destroy enemy machinery, solve pathfinding puzzles, and survive intense boss fights.

The core gameplay loop centers on multitasking and coordination. While the Owl acts as your primary scout and shield, clearing minor obstacles and absorbing incoming bullets, the Cat possesses the raw firepower needed to blast through reinforced walls and heavy targets. Safely navigating the levels requires careful movement, as the Cat can only take a few hits before exploding, forcing you to constantly position the Owl to intercept danger.

Controls

• The Owl (Movement & Fire): Move the mouse to fly. Hold the left mouse button to shoot continuous fireballs.
• The Cat (Movement): Use the WASD keys or Arrow Keys to maneuver.
• The Cat (Special Attack): Press the Spacebar to release a powerful laser burp (requires food energy).

Tips

• Use the Owl as a Shield: Since the Owl is completely indestructible, fly it directly in front of the Cat to block incoming projectiles and create a safe pocket of space.
• Save the Laser Burps: The Cat's laser requires food energy to fire. Conserve this resource and only use it to break through destructible walls or damage tough enemy boss battleships.
• Drag and Rescue: The Owl is strong enough to grab the Cat. If the Cat is stuck or moving too slowly to avoid a hazard, use the Owl to drag the Cat to a safer position.
• Coordinate in Co-op: If controlling both characters alone is too challenging, you can play with a friend. One player can focus on flying the Owl with the mouse, while the navigates the Cat with the keyboard.
