EvoWorld.io — released back in 2018 as FlyOrDie.io, before its 2020 rename — drops you into a shared arena as a tiny fly and asks one question: can you eat enough to become something bigger before something bigger eats you? Every player is doing the same thing at the same time, so the map is a constant scramble of green-bordered food and weaker creatures worth snapping up, and red-bordered predators worth swerving around.
Progress comes from experience, not levels you choose — enough XP and your fly becomes a new animal entirely, with its own shape, speed and special move. Push far enough and the evolution line stops looking like nature altogether, working through stranger and more mythical forms the longer you survive. Alongside all that hunting, your creature has to keep drinking water, so a good run means splitting attention between the next meal, the nearest threat, and your water bar.
Controls
- WASD or the arrow keys — move
- Left click — boost / fly
- Space or S — use your current form's special ability
Tips
- Only chase food and creatures with a green border — anything red-bordered is a threat to you, not a target.
- Check your water level as often as you check for predators; running dry kills a promising run just as fast as being eaten.
- Each evolved form has a different special ability — get in the habit of testing yours the moment you change shape, since it can be your best escape option.
It suits short, replayable sessions: no account or install, just repeated runs where the goal is simply to survive one evolution further than last time.
