Frontline Defense is a straightforward tower defense game: enemies march along a fixed path toward your base, and you place towers along the route to whittle them down before they get through. There's no base-building sprawl or resource sprawl to manage, just reading the path, picking spots with good coverage, and reacting as later waves bring tougher enemies.
Each level is its own map layout, so the same tower loadout plays differently depending on where the path bends and how much room you have to work with. Towers have their own abilities beyond plain damage, so mixing types along a choke point matters more than stacking one favorite everywhere.
Controls
- Left mouse button — select and place a tower
- C — the tower you have selected
Tips
- Place towers where the path curves or loops back on itself, so a single tower's range covers more than one straight stretch.
- Press C to back out of a placement instead of dropping a tower somewhere it won't earn its cost.
- Mix tower types near your choke points rather than repeating one type, since abilities differ and cover each 's weaknesses.
It's a good fit for a short session or two: no story to follow, just wave after wave to plan around.
