Grow Cube is a turn-based logic puzzle from Eyezmaze, the Japanese developer behind the long-running Grow series. You're given ten small items and drop them one at a time onto a lone cube sitting in empty space. Nothing is randomized: how far each item grows, and what it does to the items already on the cube, depends entirely on the order you chose it in — the same click on your third turn can play out completely differently depending on what you placed first and second.
The goal is to get every item to "Level Max" in a single playthrough, which almost nobody manages on the first try. There's no fail state that ends the game early — you just keep placing items until you run out, see what state the cube ended up in, and start a fresh cube with a better guess. It rewards paying attention over reflexes: watching how one item's growth blocks or unlocks another, then replaying with that knowledge until the whole sequence clicks.
Controls
Mouse only — left-click an item to place it on the cube, then click the next one.
Tips
- Restart from an empty cube rather than trying to recover a run that's gone wrong — there's no undo.
- Your first two or three placements shape almost everything that follows, so experiment with the opening order first.
- If an item barely grows or does nothing, that's a clue — something else likely needs to go down before it.
- Treat each playthrough as a short experiment: the game is meant to be replayed many times, not solved in one sitting.
Grow Cube suits anyone who likes a slow, puzzle-box style challenge to pick at over several short sessions rather than one that's solved in a single sitting.
