About Hypersnake

Hypersnake takes the classic grow-your-snake idea and turns it into a resource puzzle. A short chain of glowing balls slithers across a grid scattered with numbered pickups and numbered gates: collect a numbered ball and your snake grows by that many segments, but each gate ahead costs segments to pass through. The run is really a budgeting problem played at speed — grow enough before a gate, or you're stuck.

There's no rival snake to dodge here; it's you against the board. Every path forward has a price, so the fun is in reading a few gates ahead and deciding whether a detour for more balls is worth the extra distance, or whether you should cash in what you've got and push through.

Controls

Hold the left mouse button and move the mouse in any direction to steer the snake. On mobile, hold and drag your finger the same way.

Tips

  • Don't grab every ball you see — detouring for a big number can cost more distance than the gate it would clear.
  • Look one or two gates ahead before committing to a path so you don't arrive short on segments.
  • Slow, steady mouse movement keeps the snake on a tighter line than fast, jerky drags.
