Little Cabin in the Woods is a horror point-and-click adventure from FM Studio, told as a standalone tale set in their Forgotten Hill universe. You play a young boy who has spent years shut away in an isolated cabin with his grandfather after a violent event in his past, and the story follows the day he finally decides to leave, whatever waits outside the door.
Play is slow and deliberate: you explore dark, cluttered rooms one screen at a time, click to pick up objects worth keeping, and combine or use them on doors and objects to work out how to move forward. The tone leans on dread and unsettling imagery more than jump scares, and a built-in hint system is there if a puzzle has you stuck.
Controls
Mouse only: click to examine or collect an item, then click again to use it where it's needed.
Tips
- Click around every corner of a room before moving on — item highlights can be easy to miss in the dim lighting.
- Check your inventory against locked doors and odd objects; most puzzles are a matter of pairing the right item with the right spot.
- Use the hint system rather than guessing blindly if you've been stuck on the same screen for a while.
It's a good fit for players who enjoy quiet, story-driven escape games and don't mind a slower pace built around exploration and atmosphere rather than reflexes.
