Ludo King brings the classic board game Ludo — also known as Pachisi — into the browser. Each player controls four tokens and rolls a die to race them clockwise around the board, aiming to get all four safely into the home triangle before anyone else finishes.

It's a turn-based mix of luck and timing rather than reflexes: a roll of six lets you bring a new token out of your base or take an extra turn, landing on an opponent's token sends it back to their start, and pairing two of your own tokens on one square blocks rivals from passing. You can play against the computer for a quick solo match, or join online multiplayer with friends or random opponents.

• Move: click or tap the token you want to advance.

Tips

• Get tokens out before rushing one home. You need a six to leave your base, so don't waste early sixes moving a single token when you could free another instead.
• Use the safe squares. Star-marked squares protect a token from capture — pause there rather than pushing into open squares an opponent can land on.
• Look for captures over pure speed. Sending an opponent's token back to their base costs them several turns of progress, which is often worth more than advancing your own token a few spaces.

Matches run quickly against the computer or can stretch out as a proper social game with friends — good for a casual round or two, no board or dice required.
