Game Modes

Controls

Master Chess is fully playable using a mouse or touch-screen controls:

• Select a Piece: Click or tap a chess piece on the board. The game will automatically highlight all available legal squares for that piece.
• Move a Piece: Click or tap any highlighted green square to move the selected piece to that position.

Gameplay Tips

• Control the Center: Aim to dominate the four central squares of the board early in the game with your pawns and minor pieces. Controlling the center gives your pieces more mobility and restricts your opponent's options.
• Protect the King: Castle early to move your king to safety and connect your rooks. A king left in the center is highly vulnerable to coordinated attacks.
• Think Ahead: Before making a move, analyze your opponent's last play. Ask yourself what threat they are creating and try to plan two or three moves in advance.
