Max and Mink Game

Max and Mink is a charming 2D cooperative puzzle-platformer developed by Joep van Duinen. In this adventure, you guide two unique animal friends on a quest through the Magical Animal Forest. Their mission is to gather rare healing mushrooms to cure the ailing Forest King, requiring them to work together to overcome various obstacles.

The game relies entirely on teamwork and coordination. Max, a long, stretchy ferret-like creature, can float through the air and extend his body to serve as a bridge or a step. Mink, a small, agile cat-like creature, excels at walking and jumping to reach places that Max helps him access. Both characters must reach their respective portals at the end of each level to progress.

Controls

Max and Mink can be played as a single-player game or with two players sharing the same keyboard:

Max (Stretchy Ferret) Controls:

• W: Fly or float upward
• S: Move downward or contract
• A: Move left
• D: Move right

Mink (Agile Cat) Controls:

• Up Arrow: Jump
• Left Arrow: Move left
• Right Arrow: Move right

Tips

• Create Bridges: Max can stretch across gaps or float in mid-air, allowing Mink to walk on top of him to reach high ledges or cross hazardous spikes.
• Push Buttons and Switches: Mink is excellent at navigating tight spaces and jumping onto switches to open gates, which allows Max to pass through safely.
• Gather Mushrooms: While reaching the portal is the main goal, make sure to collect the glowing magic mushrooms scattered throughout the levels.
• Play Solo or Co-op: If playing alone, you can control Max and Mink one at a time. Move one character to a safe position, then switch your focus to the to solve the puzzles.
