Merge Summer Game

Merge Summer is a browser puzzle from Potato Jam, the studio behind a run of easygoing merge games. You start with a board that only holds plain waffles, and dragging one onto a matching waffle combines them into the next treat up the chain — a banana-topped version, then something fancier still, working toward cakes, ice cream, and iced summer coffees.

There's no timer and no fail state pushing you along. The whole loop is drag two matching items together, watch the board slowly fill with better treats, and serve finished desserts to customers for coins. Those coins go toward expanding the board itself, which is the real progress marker — more space means you can hold onto low-tier items longer and chain them upward instead of merging piecemeal.

Click an item and drag it onto a matching one to merge them. On phone or tablet, tap and drag instead — Merge Summer plays the same way on a touchscreen.

Tips

• Don't let the board fill up with the lowest-tier waffles — clear a matching pair as soon as you spot one so new items have somewhere to land.
• Chain merges upward when you have the room rather than serving the first low-tier treat you make; higher-tier desserts are worth building toward.
• Spend coins on expanding the board as soon as you can afford it — extra space is what lets you keep chaining instead of getting stuck.

It's a low-pressure pick for a short break — something to fill five or fifteen minutes without needing to concentrate hard.
