Neon War is a one-button skill game built around a cannon that never stops firing. Numbered blocks drift down from the top of the screen — the number is a hit counter, not a health bar you watch tick down, so the whole game is about reading the descending pattern and keeping your cannon under the right block before it reaches the floor.
Every hit earns coins, and coins buy permanent upgrades between runs: more damage per shot, a faster fire rate, extra health, and pets that add passive firepower alongside your cannon. Runs are short and the loop resets often, so a session is really a string of quick attempts rather than one long sitting.
Controls
Hold the left mouse button and slide it left or right to move the cannon. There's no keyboard control — it's mouse-only.
Tips
- Prioritize whichever block has the lowest number left — clearing it frees up space before the stack gets crowded.
- Spend early coins on fire rate before damage; more shots per second helps you keep pace with blocks stacking up from multiple lanes.
- Pets fire automatically, so once you can afford one it's free extra damage that doesn't need your attention.
It's a good fit for short breaks — quick to pick up, no story or levels to track, just a steady climb in cannon power as you replay.
