Rummy is a browser build of the classic card game, made by Codethislab. Ten cards are dealt to each player, and the goal is simple: be the first to arrange your whole hand into valid combinations and get rid of every card.
Each turn follows the same rhythm — draw a card from the stock pile or take the top card off the discard pile, then check your hand for a set (three or four cards of matching rank) or a run (three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive order). Cards you can't use yet get discarded back to the pile. Once your whole hand is arranged into sets and runs, you lay it down and win the round.
Controls
Everything is played with the mouse on desktop or a finger on touchscreens — click or tap the stock or discard pile to draw, then click or tap a card to pick it up and place it. There's no keyboard involved.
Modes
- Single-player against the computer for a quick match.
- Online multiplayer against another person.
- Pass-and-play against a friend sharing the same device.
Tips
- Hang on to low-value cards a little longer — they cost you less if you're still holding them when someone else goes out.
- Track what your opponent discards; it tells you which sets or runs they're not collecting.
- Prioritize runs when you can — they're often easier to extend than a set stuck at a single rank.
It suits anyone who wants a proper hand of Rummy without gathering people around a table — quick to start, easy to pick up mid-break, and playable solo or with someone else.
