About Sides of Gravity

Sides of Gravity is a puzzle platformer built around a single trick: walk off the edge of a platform and gravity redirects to pull you in that direction instead of down. What used to be a wall becomes the new floor, and a ledge that looked out of reach a second ago is suddenly right under your feet. Each of the 24 rooms is really four rooms in one, since every wall becomes walkable ground depending on which way you fell into it.

A level is a small sealed room with an exit somewhere on it, and working out which wall to fall onto next — and in what order — is the whole puzzle. Nothing about the controls is complicated; the difficulty is entirely in reading the room correctly before you commit to a fall.

Controls

A/D or the Left/Right arrow keys to move, W, Up, or Spacebar to jump.

Tips

  • Before jumping off an edge, picture the room rotated so that edge becomes the floor — that's the layout you're about to land in.
  • If a jump looks impossible, you're probably still thinking in the wrong gravity direction for that part of the room.
  • Use the hint option if a room stumps you rather than repeatedly falling in the same direction.
