Skydom is a match-3 puzzle game with a map that pushes you forward level by level instead of leaving you to pick from a grid. Swap adjacent gems to line up three or more of the same color, clear the level's target objective, and move on to the next stop on the map.
The twist that separates it from a straight match-3 clone shows up every level: instead of another clear-the-board objective, you go head-to-head against an opponent, racing to hit your goal before they hit theirs. Chain bigger matches and you'll start combining higher multiples of the same gem into special pieces with bonus effects, which is usually what decides those head-to-head rounds. Clear ten levels and a Daily Challenge unlocks for extra rewards, and earning 1,000 coins unlocks the Alchemist, who brews bonus pieces of their own.
Controls
Drag a gem into an adjacent one, or click with the left mouse button, to swap and match.
Tips
- Save bigger matches for the head-to-head levels — the special pieces they create are what let you out-race an opponent instead of just out-lasting a timer.
- Push for 1,000 coins early to unlock the Alchemist; the bonus pieces it brews make later levels noticeably easier.
- Don't skip the Daily Challenge once it unlocks after level 10 — it's a free source of coins and diamonds on top of normal level rewards.
It's a good fit for short sessions — a level or two of match-3 whenever you've got a few spare minutes, with the versus levels giving it a bit more tension than a typical puzzle grind.
