Stickman Climb! is a physics-based climbing game where you never walk or jump in the usual sense. Your stickman is wedged into a small metal pot with a pickaxe, and the pickaxe is the only tool you have — you hook it into the terrain, swing, and let the momentum drag you forward and up.
Each level is a short cliff dotted with spikes and drops, and the flag at the top is the only goal. Progress comes in small, deliberate swings rather than one continuous run: chain a few short hooks to edge along a ledge, then commit to a bigger arc to clear a gap or a spike cluster. Overcommit or panic-swing and you'll slide right back down.
Controls
The left and right arrow keys are all you need — they control the direction and force of your pickaxe swing. There's no jump button; every bit of height comes from how you time and angle that swing.
Tips
- Use small, controlled swings on narrow ledges, and save the big arcing swings for wide gaps or spike clusters.
- Reach a checkpoint or flag whenever you can — it saves your progress so a fall sends you back there, not to the bottom of the level.
- Let momentum carry you between swings. Fighting the motion with sudden direction changes is usually what sends you sliding backward.
If you've played Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, the idea will feel familiar — one tool, real momentum, and patience rewarded over speed.
