Tag is a local multiplayer chase game built for up to four players sharing the same keyboard. One player starts as "it," marked by an arrow overhead, and has to catch someone else before the round clock hits zero. The instant a tag lands, roles flip immediately — the chaser becomes a runner and the chase reverses direction without any pause.
Rounds play out on open, platform-dotted maps where bounce pads launch you across gaps and teleporters can drop you right behind an unsuspecting opponent (or save you a split second before you'd have been caught). Whoever is "it" when the timer runs out loses the round, so the last few seconds of every match turn into a scramble of sharp turns and last-second jumps.
Controls
Up to four players share one keyboard, each with their own three-key set:
- Player 1: W, A, D
- Player 2: Up, Left, Right arrow keys
- Player 3: J, I, L
- Player 4: F, T, H
Round length is adjustable in the settings — 60, 120, or 180 seconds.
Tips
- Keep moving. Standing still makes you the easiest target on the map.
- Watch everyone, not just the chaser. Knowing where the players are moving helps you avoid running straight into them.
- Change direction without warning. Sharp turns and sudden jumps force the chaser to react instead of predicting your path.
- Use the bounce pads and teleporters deliberately. They're often the difference between escaping a corner and getting tagged in it.
It's built as a same-screen party game, so it's best with two to four people crowded around one keyboard rather than played solo.
