Turnament is a clever, retro-styled turn-based puzzle game developed by Nitrome. In this dungeon crawler, players guide a blocky knight through tile-based chambers packed with traps, enemies, and destructible pots. The defining mechanic is that the game is strictly turn-based: the entire dungeon, including the movement of enemies and the firing of traps, only advances when the player takes a step.

This turn-by-turn system turns combat and traversal into a series of tactical puzzles. Since every move counts, players must carefully predict enemy paths and manipulate pathfinding to survive. • Use Objects to Pass Turns: Smashing a pot or pushing a crate consumes one turn. If you need an enemy to move first but want to stay in place, interact with a nearby object to safely pass your turn.
• Trap Opponents with Crates: Push wooden crates to block corridors or trap monsters in corners, neutralizing threats without entering combat.
• Prioritize Coins: You must collect all the scattered coins on each floor to unlock the exit and advance to the next level.
