Eat.io drops you into a bustling city with one simple goal: consume everything. You start as a small black hole, barely big enough to swallow pedestrians and trash cans. But as you eat, you grow. What begins as a desperate scramble to find enough streetlights to survive quickly turns into a massive rampage where you are devouring entire office buildings and parking lots.
The arcade loop is fast and ruthless. You only have a couple of minutes to rack up the highest score possible. While eating the city is fun, the real tension comes from the black holes roaming the map. If another player is larger than you, they can swallow you whole. If you are bigger, you can chase them down and absorb their points. It is a constant game of cat and mouse.
Controls
Movement is completely mouse-driven. Just click and hold, then drag your mouse to steer your black hole around the city map. On touchscreens, simply drag your finger.
Tips
- Focus on the Park: The park areas are filled with small, densely packed objects like trees and fences. It is the best place to rapidly level up during the first 30 seconds.
- Never Stop Moving: Standing still makes you an easy target for larger players. Keep sweeping through streets and only turn back if the path ahead is empty.
- Hunt Near the End: Chasing players early on wastes precious time. Wait until the final 60 seconds when you are massive to start hunting down the competition.
