Light Temple is the second game in Oslo Albet's Fireboy and Watergirl series, and it's the one that adds mirrors to the formula. Fireboy and Watergirl still can't swap elements — Fireboy dies the moment he touches water, Watergirl dissolves in lava, and green slime or a fall into a pit kills either of them instantly — but now the temple's doors, elevators and platforms are wired to beams of light instead of simple switches. Push and rotate mirrors to bend a beam onto its target sensor, and progress opens up.
That single addition turns the series from straightforward two-character platforming into something closer to a puzzle game with platforming attached. You're not just timing jumps anymore; you're tracing where a beam actually goes, figuring out which mirror in the room is blocking it, and often solving the light puzzle before you can even attempt the physical part of the level. It plays well solo with both hands on the keyboard, but it's built for two people sharing one screen.
Controls
- Fireboy: Arrow keys — Up to jump, Left/Right to move
- Watergirl: W to jump, A/D to move
Tips
- Trace a beam from its source to its target before touching a mirror — moving the wrong one can send the beam somewhere you can't easily fix.
- Grab the diamonds on your way through rather than backtracking for them; red diamonds are for Fireboy, blue ones for Watergirl.
- Playing solo, park whichever character isn't moving somewhere safe before you switch hands to the set of keys.
Good fit for anyone who liked the original Fireboy and Watergirl's cooperative platforming and wants the same two-player loop with an actual puzzle layer on top.
