About Five Nights at Freddys 3

Set decades after the events of the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Five Nights at Freddy's 3 puts you in the security office of Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction built to capitalize on the legends. Instead of fending off a diverse cast of animatronics, your sole physical threat is Springtrap—a decaying, terrifyingly fast rabbit suit. The tension comes from trying to locate him in the static-filled cameras and actively luring him away from your location before he reaches the door.

Your primary defense is a maintenance panel, which frequently malfunctions. You'll need to reboot your audio devices, camera feeds, and ventilation systems manually. If the ventilation fails for too long, the office will plunge into darkness and you'll suffer hallucinations of phantom animatronics. These phantoms won't end your run, but their jumpscares will disable your systems, leaving you completely exposed to Springtrap's relentless advance. Surviving until 6 AM requires constant vigilance and quick prioritization of which systems to restore.

Controls

  • Mouse: Pan your view across the office, and switch between the camera monitor and maintenance panel.
  • Left Click: Trigger audio lures on specific cameras, and press the reboot buttons when systems go offline.

Tips

  • Trap him in a loop: Find two adjacent cameras far from your office and repeatedly lure Springtrap between them. As long as you keep playing the audio lure in the next room over, he will often pace back and forth.
  • Watch the vents: Springtrap can bypass several rooms by crawling through the ventilation shafts. If you see him in a vent, quickly double-click the camera to seal it off.
  • Drop the monitor: When you see a phantom on a camera feed (like Phantom Balloon Boy), do not stare. Immediately switch to a different camera or lower the monitor to avoid their jumpscare and system disruption.

Five Nights at Freddys 3 FAQ

Can the phantom animatronics kill you in Five Nights at Freddy's 3?
No, the phantom animatronics cannot end your game directly. However, their jumpscares will disable your audio, cameras, or ventilation, which can give Springtrap enough time to reach your office.
How do you seal the vents?
Open the camera monitor, switch to the vent map overlay, find the vent camera that Springtrap is crawling through, and double-click it to seal it. You can only keep one vent sealed at a time.
Why did my ventilation system go offline?
The ventilation system can crash randomly over time, but it will also immediately fail if you are jumpscared by a phantom animatronic. You must reboot it using the maintenance panel to prevent hallucinations.
